Porsche introduced the most anachronic sports car - Porsche 911 GT3. The essence of the model is that it uses the atmospheric 4-liter engine and offers buyers a choice between a robotic and mechanical transmission, which in itself is very rare in our day. The motor is taken from the model Porsche 911 Speedster, where he developed 502 hp and 471 nm of torque.
When designing a novelties, Porsche specialists again made what they knew best - they changed the appearance of the car so that he simultaneously seemed the same as before and at the same time was a completely new car. The same thing happened with the technical part of the sports car - the usual opposite 4-liter 6-cylinder oppositor became easier, more powerful, louder and emotionally. Now the motor gives 510 hp, which is an excellent indicator for Porsche 911 GT3, which weighs 1,435 kilograms.
According to the manufacturer, when creating a new sports car, engineers tried to save weight on everything - from the widespread use of carbon fiber, to very thin braids, which were able to save almost five kilograms. With the same purpose, the car lost all electric drives in the cabin - everything is configured by hand, and also acquired new lightweight seats.
Among other things, the company's experts worked the aerodynamics of all body panels and rear anti-car, which is characteristic of the Porsche GT3 family. In addition, the car acquired a revised rear diffuser and an aggressive front spliter. In addition, the engineers applied the front suspension on double transverse levers, which also affected the handling and dynamics of the car. According to Porsche, the new 911 GT3 drives Nürburring in 6 minutes and 59.927 seconds, which is 12 seconds faster than the predecessor.
The cost and date of start of sales of the new Porsche 911 GT3 are not yet known. But we were told about some options of a sports car. So, for an additional fee, the client can order carbon racing buckets that reduce the weight of the machine for 11.79 kg, the Chrono package and the LAP Trigger function.
