Mercedes-Benz officially presented a sedan and a new generation C-CLASS W206 wagon. As the automaker notes, the coupe and convertible will be presented later.
With the change of generation, the novelty rose in some dimensions. The length increased by 65 millimeters and is now 4751 millimeters, and the wheel base increased by 25 millimeters - up to 2865 millimeters. And the sedan became 10 millimeters wider - 1820 millimeters and below 9 millimeters - 1438 millimeters. The universal of the new generation at similar length and height was 49 millimeters longer than 10 millimeters wider than the predecessor.
In appearance, the car inherited some features of the flagship S-class. This is a relief hood, a shape of a head optics, a massive bumper with large air intakes, recycled radiator grille with a large logo in the middle and a chrome-plated bar. In addition, the model received a short front OTE, upgraded LED optics, two-section rear lights and a developed "belt line".
The interior of the novelty also repeats S-Class. A new information and entertainment system MBUX with a digital dashboard with a diagonal of 10.25 or 12.3 inches and a voice control function appeared in the cabin. The control is answered by vertical touchscreen, whose diagonal varies from 9.5 to 11.9 inches depending on the configuration. Optionally available projection display with augmented reality, capable of displaying the windshield not only speed and travel data, but also navigation prompts, which immediately turn into holographic pointers and arrows, warning drivers about turning, turning and other maneuvers on his path.
The motor gamut of the new C-Class has fully electrified. However, in Russia, the model will be available only in 180 versions with rear-wheel drive and from 200 4matic with full. A four-cylinder gasoline turbo cylinder cooled to 150 horsepower (instead of 170 or 204 forces) will operate as a force aggregate. Together with the motor, a nine-speed automatic transmission with double clutch is operating.
