The Jubilee Class SUV car has descended from the conveyor of the main plant Skoda AUTO in Mlada Boleslav.
The anniversary became the Skoda Kamiq crossover, which also overcame the mark of 250,000 copies made. The volume of production of the Czech brand in 2020 clearly demonstrates how popular Skoda range in the SUV segment is: on Kodiaq, KaroQ and Kamiq account for about 40% of the car brand worldwide.

Together with the world premiere of the Yeti model in 2009, the Czech brand laid the foundation for the success of the SUV line. By the end of the production in 2017, this car went around the world with a circulation of 685,500 copies. In the same year, the Czech brand launched a campaign to expand the model range in the SUV segment and introduced at once two new models - Kodiaq and Karoq. Both vehicles continued the success of Yeti and became typical representatives of Skoda, as evidenced by such family features, as an emotional design, spacious salon and a high level of practicality. Today, Czech brand has released about 593,600 Skoda Kodiaq and 454,800 SKODA KAROQ units.
In 2019, the brand supplemented the European range of compact urban kamiq, which became the most affordable SUV car in the brand portfolio. Skoda Kamiq combined the best qualities of a dynamically developing segment of compact urban SUV - increased ground clearance, high landing, excellent handling and emotional design. These characteristics are highly appreciated by customers worldwide, so it is not surprising that the car overcame the mark of 250,000 copies made.
The world premiere of a special SUV Skoda - model ENYAQ IV - took place in September 2020. ENYAQ IV became the first model of the Czech brand built on the basis of the Volkswagen Group's Electrification Toolkit Electric Platform (MODular Electrification Toolkit).
The start of ENYAQ IV is an important step towards the development of the electric vehicle of the Skoda AUTO model. In addition, ENYAQ IV is the only model on the MEB platform in Europe, produced outside of Germany. The electric vehicle is available with a rear or complete drive, three variants of the tape battery capacity and five electric motors to choose from a total power of 148 hp. (109 kW) to 306 hp (225 kW). The stock of his move reaches 520 km, which makes Enyaq IV perfect car for daily trips. To date, Czech brand has released approximately 1,100 electric vehicles at the factory in Mlada Boleslav.
In the Czech Republic, Skoda AUTO produces models of SUV class at two factories. So, Kamiq, Enyaq IV and Karoq are produced at headquarters in Mlada Boleslav. At the same time, KAROQ is also going along with Kodiaq on the production line in Quasires. Outside the Czech Republic, Skoda produces models in SUV segment in China, Russia, India, Ukraine and Slovakia. China is the largest market for Skoda and the only country where the Czech brand is represented at once five SUV models: the company offers adapted, taking into account the preferences of local customers of the Kamiq GT and Kodiaq GT model. In addition, this month in India will be the premiere of Skoda Kushaq built on the local version of the MQB-A0-IN modular platform. The new SUV will be the first model within the framework of the India 2.0 campaign, designed to start a new era in the Indian market for Skoda. The premiere of the new Skoda Kushaq will take place on March 18, 2021. In Russia, serial production of Kodiaq models Ikaroq is carried out in Nizhny Novgorod.
