A new Czech brand SUV for the Indian market received a central separately standing screen of the multimedia system, as well as a spacious, typical of the brand. The premiere of the new Skoda Kushaq will take place on March 18, 2021.
Skoda for the first time introduced the interior of the new Kushaq on official design sketches, exclusively those at the disposal of Journalists Speedme.ru. As in the case of other models of the Czech car manufacturer, in a spacious cabin, typical of the brand, there is a large separately standing screen information and entertainment display, the diagonal of which is 10 inches. Attention attracts the touch control panel of the climate system settings and the fully digital instrument panel, which, we expect, will be only in the top modifications of the model. Otherwise, we will get the same interior of the VAG family, familiar to most of the concern models.
Skoda Kushaq will be officially introduced at the end of this month and will be the first of the four models of Skoda and Volkswagen brands as part of the India 2.0 product campaign. Cars are manufactured in India and are based on the MQB-A0-in Volkswagen Group platform, specially adapted for India by Skoda Auto.
Judging by the sketches published earlier by previously edition, in the exterior of the novelty largely borrowed the design of the show in 2020: the shape of the body, a chrome-plated radiator grille with vertical lamellas, two-story head LED optics, overlays under the bumpers with three Cutouts, roof rails, rear lights.
The length of the crossover is about 4.2 m, the wheelbase is 4271 mm. Under the hood, Kushaq will be the turbocharged motors of the TSI series with a volume of 1.0 and 1.5 liters (they are borrowed from another crossover - kamiq), their power will be 110 and 150 hp. respectively. The first motor will work with six-speed "mechanics" and a classic "automatic", the second - with a manual box and a seven-speed "robot". Front drive. According to the body frame and door panels, the Czech crossover will be unified with Volkswagen T-Cross (manufactured since 2019).
Skoda Kushaq will acquire in the Indian market with a wide range of (by local standards) of basic equipment: air conditioning, cruise control, assistance systems when labeled, light and rain sensors.
The premiere of the model will take place on March 18. The cost of the crossover will be announced later, its production will be held at the plant in the industrial area of Shender, in the city of Aurangabad.
