"The transaction will allow Yandex.Taxi to improve the client service and speed up the development of a logistics platform, in particular to offer the express delivery of parcels and goods to residents of the regions," the company reports.
Users "lucky" will be able to call taxi by phone, as they are used to, or in Yandex GO. Drivers will also be asked to connect to the Yandex.Pro platform.
The company draws attention to the fact that advanced security technologies and an efficient distribution mechanism on the platform allow drivers to drive less "in good" and earn more, and users spend less time to wait for the car.
The current deal, as indicated in the company, differs from the agreement between Yandex.Taxi and "lucky", announced in July 2019, since it implies the acquisition of only part of the assets "lucky", acts in a limited number of regions and does not apply to software, and therefore Does not require coordination in the federal antimonopoly service (FAS).
As RBC reminds, in 2019 the FAS refused to approve the transaction for the purchase of call-centers and software "lucky", since it will "strengthen the dominant position of the company" both throughout Russia and within the boundaries of more than half of the regions.
