In January, Xpeng Inc sold 6015 cars, which is 470% more than in the same period last year. Compared to December 2020, the growth was more modest 5.53%. Of course, to sell for a month a little more than 6,000 cars is not as a record indicator in the automotive area, and even more so, if you compare it with TESLA statistics. However, for the Chinese company, this is a very positive result confirming the growth vector of demand for their products.
In December, XPeng put 3710 pieces of Xpeng P7 sedan, and 2305 units of the G3 crossover.
"Record delivery results reflect the strong market attractiveness of XPENG products and services, since the company speeds up its delivery and launch of new intellectual functions, expanding brand awareness and marketing efforts," the XPeng statement said.
Xpeng actively promoted sales against the background of enhancing competition, and sales figures reflect these efforts. In addition to China itself, the active sales of XPeng products go in Europe, in particular in Norway, is in demand by the G3 crossover. On January 26, XPeng introduced a new version of the operating system P7, Xmart OS 2.5.0, with optimized functions and 40 new features, including an autonomous driving solution on the NGP Highway (Navigation Guided Pilot). Also, the company strengthens its financial base, selling depository shares (ADS) for $ 2.5 billion.
In the footsteps of Tesla
Of course today all electromotive manufacturers in one form or another, but try to implement TESLA recipes. Xpeng Motors, like Tesla, in parallel with production buildup, creates its branded network of charging stations. Now XPeng superchard power is 120 kW. At the same time, the car can be free in the parking place of the charging station for 2 hours. In fact, this time could be reduced, since with the stated power of the XPeng charging "Pour to complete" can be much faster than in an hour. In the near future, the company is preparing for the installation of charging complexes with a new design.
