February 8, at 14:00, in the large rehearsal hall, located at the intersection of the Street of the Jump and Leningradsky Avenue, was a meeting "Unknown Vasilev". Gatkb organized an event in honor of the 90th anniversary of the founder of the theater.
Biographical reference
Vladimir Vasilev was born on February 8, 1931. Thanks to his love for art, became a famous choreographer and the main balletmaster of Gatkb, who received the title of People's Artist of Russia. The laureate of the USSR of the USSR was able to become a key figure from the Pleiads of the Sixties, leaving in the history of ballet art noticeable trail. He managed to declare himself as an innovator in a classic dance, although in the 60s he just started working in the Bolshoi Theater. Staging Vladimir Yudich "Geologists", "Vanina Vanini", Spring Sacred became the first on the way to the development of the Soviet ballet. Together with the wife of Natalia Kasatkin, he put on the stage of the Mariinsky Theater Opera Petr First, for which he was awarded the State Prize. The choreographer loved to cooperate with Maya Plisetskaya, Irina Kolpaykov, Nikolai Fadeheskov. In his performances, he preferred to take the best of the best: Yuri Solovyov, Ekaterina Maksimov and Mikhail Baryshnikov.
The holiday in honor of Vasileva became a certain prologue to the premiere of Symphony "Pushkin. Dreams after life, "which the theater prepared for the anniversary of the founder. Today, the choreographer could celebrate the 90th anniversary with his colleagues, but his life was cut off in August 2017. Coronavirus, continuing to interfere with the normal life of Russians, made its own adjustments to the celebration plan. Showing a new symphony had to be transferred to an indefinite date. She wanted to coincide with the birthday of Andrei Petrov and combine the day of the memory of Vladimir Yudich. Despite the difficulties, artists and friends of the anniversary gathered together to discuss his hidden wide verges that many did not have time to reveal. They pushed the organizers for the idea to call the meeting "Unknown Vasilev". An outstanding balletmaster was endowed with incredible love for art, so I was able to express myself as an artist, prose, sculptor and composer.
People who knew Vasileva, told little-known facts about him. The conclusion of the meeting was the show of the documentary film shot by the day of his birth. The picture contains rare photos and video materials, who managed to hit not only fans, but also close choreographer. All admirers of the talent of Vladimir Yudich were invited to the event.
