Kaliningrad enterprise Avtotor began the release of an updated compact Hatchback Kia Picanto, which will appear on the Russian market from March 5. This model is produced at Avtotor since 2017, the press service of the plant reports.
The new Kia Picanto will be available on the Russian market in 5 configurations, including in the new version of Style and a GT Line sports design package. The price of new items will be from 819 thousand 900 rubles to 1 million 114 thousand 900 rubles. In the front and rear parts of the model, the change is made to the design of the main optics and fog headlights, the bumper and the radiator grille. For the updated Kia Picanto will be offered the wheeled discs of the new design (three versions in the dimensions of from 14 to 16 inches), as well as a wide range of 10 options for the shades of the body.
In the cabin of the new Picanto, the screen of a new multimedia system with a diagonal of 8 inches was the most notable element. The new "tidy" SuperVision now has a 4.2-inch high-resolution digital TFT screen to which the driver can output various information. The updated Picanto model offers fabric seats, artificial leather or combined finish. There are several versions of the color seats, the diffusers of the heating and ventilation system, the gearbox selector, as well as doors: In addition to black, they may have accents performed in orange, lime and red shades.
In the form of modification of Picanto GT Line on the edges of the branded radiator lattice made contrasting red accents. In the GT Line version, the model also received a sports design steering wheel with truncated in the lower part of the rim and other design of 16-inch alloy discs.
In addition, increased the security level of the updated Kia Picanto: now the model can be equipped with the BCW blind zone monitoring technology and the help system with parking with reverse RCCW. Also, there are 6 airbags, a course stability system, a traction thrust vector control technology, an electronic movement assistant on a lift (us), parking assistant with reversing, as well as a rear view camera with dynamic guides and smart smart access to SMART Key with launching motor button.
For the updated Kia Picanto model, two options for atmospheric gasoline engines of the KAPPA family will be offered in the Russian Federation: 1.0 L MPI (67 hp, 95.2 nm) and 1.2 liters of MPI (84 hp, 121.6 Nm). The power unit with a smaller working volume works in a pair with a 5-speed manual transmission, and 1,2-liter engine is equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission. An additional advantage of the new Picanto for our country is an increased up to 161 mm car clearance.
