Manufacturers Kar-Go believe that their fully autonomous car can work as well as the driver-man. A series of compartments replaces the seats in the cabin, and each compartment contains a set of medicines for a separate institution. When Kar-Go arrives at the delivery address, it opens up the appropriate partition. The remaining compartments remain closed inside the car.
Contact delivery systems have obvious advantages during the current pandemic. KAR-GO can also reduce the cost of delivering medicines and medical materials. People who use the service do not need to ride their own car, which means that Kar-Go can have a positive impact on the environment.
The current small-scale project for the delivery of medicines in the nursing homes is a harbinger of a more large-scale use of KAR-GO, which can be used to serve a large number of areas in England, the developers consider. Ultimately, a fully autonomous car could provide a wide range of medical services. They may include delivery of objects that flying drones have already been successfully delivered lately, such as individual protection systems, blood and special medicines.
