Honda Civic eleventh generation noticed in the British-style body after the prototype of the sedan last year was shown.
The Japanese automaker next year is preparing for the release of a new generation of his Honda Civic, and new spy snapshots for the first time demonstrate the style of the hatchback body. The images appeared in a few weeks after Honda first introduced the prototype of the Civic sedan. It is expected that the five-door hatchback will appear on the market in the second half of 2022.
The disguised prototype, registered and tested in Germany, has an identical sedan to the front panel. However, it is distinguished by the inclined roof in the style of Fastback. The new car seems to be deprived of a spoiler that cut the rear window over the past three generations and caused many disputes. Behind there are narrower lights, while fake deflectors and diffuser of modern Civic are completely absent.
The teaser image of the sedan interior, which will be completely transferred to the hatchback, also demonstrates a more minimalistic approach to design than the current model. The solid strip of the ventilation holes passes over the entire length of the dashboard, and the climate control rotary knobs show that Honda has not yet abandoned the physical distribution device.
Details about the filling of the new Civic at this stage are not enough. What is really known is the fact that Honda plans to electrify its main line in Europe by 2022, which means that each CIVIC (except Type R 2022) will use the option of gasoline-electric power installation E: Hev.
Meeting in Jazz and CR-V, E: HEV turns off the gasoline engine from the wheels in the hybrid mode, using it as a generator for the electric motor, and re-connects it to a single-speed (non-variator) automatic transmission only at higher loads. In Jazz, this unit issues a total of 107 hp. and 253 nm, but in Civic these values will increase significantly.
Currently it is unclear where a new model will be built. Plant Honda in Swindon, which produces Civic, will be closed at the end of this year. According to preliminary information, the production of the model will return to Japan (Civic sedan is built in North America and Canada), which will allow the Great Britain to take advantage of its recently prisoner agreement with the rising sun country.
