The Eurasian Economic Commission published the procedure for exporting pensions in the EAEU countries. This is reported on the ECE website on January 12. It became known that it will change in the pension system of members of the Eurasian Union from 2021
The ECP published on its website the procedure for exporting labor pensions and disability pensions between the countries of the Eurasian Union. As reported in the published document, according to a new agreement, in determining the right to retirement, the experience of a citizen obtained in all EAEC member countries is summed.
In addition to the procedure and mechanism of exports of pensions from one country of the Union to another, the issue of medical examination of workers was settled, including absentee in the appointment of a disability pension. The ECE also finally fastened the provisions that determine the procedure for the appointment and payments of pensions for the period before and after the entry into force of the Pension Agreement on the Pension Support of Workers of the EAEU countries.
It is also noted that in the future, the interaction between the authorized bodies on the payment of pensions in the EAEU will be carried out with the help of the integrated information system of the Eurasian Economic Union. However, before the transition to the digital interaction of the country, the EAEU will be used by paper document flow and formulations, which are approved by new order.
We will remind, on November 20, an agreement on the pension provision of workers of the EAEU countries entered into force. It involves the formation of equal labor rights in the EAEU countries and applies to workers from the Union countries and their family members. In Russia, insurance pensions in old age, disability, as well as the loss of the breadwinner fall under the agreement. To get the right to pay for old age, a foreign citizen needs to be applied to the pension bodies of the country of residence or to the relevant departments in the country of the EAES, where it works.
