It is worth noting that the presentation and access to the Aston Martin DBX market has come to the place: the company has trampled on the spot for several years, and the most bright events that occurred in her life became the outlet of the insane Aston Martin Vulcan and the transition to the 4-liter turbo engine from Mercedes-AMG. If Mark continued in the same spirit, after a few years we would only be able to remember her achievements with sadness. But in 2020 the company presented the world the serial version of his crossover. Many believe that a similar step is just tribute to trend, because Aston Martin has become not the first company of this kind, which presented his own crossover. However, for the Britons, this step was literally the only chance to stay afloat.
But let's turn to today's hero, which is expected to change the fate of Aston Martin. It is worth saying that crossovers that are produced by manufacturers of sports cars have always been evaluated by journalists to "excellent". And Aston Martin DBX has not exceeded this rule. Under the hood, the novelty is located a 4-liter gasoline engine with two turbines, developed by Mercedes-AMG. It gives 542 hp. and 702 Nm of torque, which allows a large enough car to accelerate up to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds. As always, the Motor from AMG perfectly sounds even with the standard exhaust system, but it is completely disclosed when buying a machine with an optional sports exhaust.
When looking at the DBX, it does not seem large, but its dimensions speak about the opposite: 5,030 mm in length, 2,049 mm wide and 1,679 mm in height speak about the opposite. He is rather similar to Porsche Cayenne than more compact Macan. Despite this, thanks to the adaptive suspension, the crossover is surprisingly furiously as in turns and direct. Of course, the controlability also affects the full drive system with the distribution of the thrust vector between the wheels. At the same time, when moving from the sports mode of movement to urban, the car is capable of smoothly and comfortably transported its owner from point A to the point B.
The only complaint with the reviewers arose to the gearbox. The 9-speed "automatic" is not distinguished by termination in manual mode and sometimes confuses the transmission. On the other hand, in sports mode, it always holds high speed, allowing the driver to enjoy the "voice" of his motor. Of course, such a movement mode affects fuel consumption - in a mixed cycle, a car spends 15.7 liters per 100 km. However, who cares in this case?
Finding into the salon of such a car, you see a luxury, touch luxury and sit in luxury. However, a spoon of conception in this barrel honey is still. If you start peering into details, you can notice that the blowing deflectors are not always fixed in the desired position, the plastic buttons seem to be cheap, and the multimedia system is running under the control of the old version of Command from Mercedes-Benz. In Aston Martin DBX, you do not expect to see the dull and fuzzy image on the screen of multimedias and its slow work, but it is present here.
