The team of "MAZ-SPORTAVTO" this year exhibited two crews at Dakar: the first one was leading at the beginning of the rally, but then came down from the race, and the second unsuccessfully spoke on the first day, but then rode stably at the pace of leaders.
"We are happy that they got to the finish. The first day he highlighted us at the 17th position, and only throughout the race managed to get to the sixth place. But we are glad that I finished in such a difficult marathon. This time there were a lot of sands on Dakar, many crews punched the wheels. The last check-in, as expected, did not affect the leader's table. Alexey Vishnevsky finished at stage fourth. For about 4 minutes spent less on the track Czech Martin Macik, being the fastest on this day. However, in general, the entire pedestal was taken by KAMAZ riders, and Dmitry Sotnikov crew became the champion. Belarusians gave him 2 hours 18 minutes.

For Alexey Vishnevsky, this is the best result of speeches on Dakar. A year earlier he came to the eighth, in 2019 - 11th, and in 2018 - 14th. The young Belarusian pilot every year takes more and higher positions.
"Dakar-2021", as the last time, passed in Saudi Arabia. The race started and ended in the same city - Jeddah. Most of the route ran into the northwestern part of the Arabian Peninsula and was a combination of sandy and stony areas.
