The network has very curious images of the design project of a cool beach SUV based on Lada Niva (now - Niva Legend). Their authors are St. Petersburg independent designer Viktor Puntus, and they were created by order of one of AvtoVAZ dealers. Look how stylish it looks!
According to the Puntus project, the car was to completely get rid of the roof. Instead of it - removable plastic top. In fact, only the windshield frame and the middle rack should remain from "Niva". But there is a body frame from steel pipes of round section. It was intended to compensate for the loss of rigidity and to ensure the safety of passengers.
Doors are also represented in other format. More precisely, they are generally absent, and small plastic partitions are installed in their place. The rear sofas were also decided to remove from the salon. The car was planned to "shut" into large mud tires, for which it would have to expand the wheeled arches. And as recognizable elements, additional fog and LED "chandelier" on the roof should have been performed.
In general, this project was developed two years ago. By the customer, one of AvtoVAZ dealers, which was going to run a small-tore assembly of the beach modification. The project performer was already chosen - the engineering firm F-Motorsport. But due to lack of funding, he never was lucky to be implemented. And all that remained from potentially successful ideas - high-quality computer images.
It is noteworthy that according to the approximate calculations of journalists of the Russian Newspaper, such a car, it appears in fact, could cost 1.2 million rubles in the area. For comparison, the serial three-door Niva Legend with a 1.7-liter 83-strong engine and full drive now costs from 600 thousand rubles.
