The premium British Mark announced the start of sales in Russia of its first crossover - Aston Martin DBX.
Previously, the journalists Speedme.ru visited the closed presentation of the pre-production SUV Aston Martin DBX, which took place in Moscow at the exclusive dealer of the brand. After that, the exposure car was returned to the manufacturer in Britain, but in August it is planned to drive another instance for testing, the source at the car market told. However, or coronavirus, or some other factors, but the delivery time of the model shifted several times. However, finally it happened and the new Aston Martin DBX is available to the Russians.
Note that the automaker considers the main markets for the US model, the Middle East and China, but the special calculation is also made to Russia. Already after the first closed show, the company collected more than 30 preliminary orders for DBX. The first customers were to start receiving their cars in the summer of 2020, however, the COVID-19 pandemic made its adjustments to the brand plans.
Aston Martin DBX is designed with the wide use of the Daimler Concern's assemblies and units. So, under the hood is hidden 4.0-liter V8 from AMG, which are already equipped with the Vantage and DB11 models. Return of the power plant is 550 hp Power and 700 nm of torque. A pair of it is a 9-speed automatic transmission and a dispensing box with a coupling of the front axle connection: they are almost the same as the Mercedes GLE crossover. This is the first all-wheel drive Aston Martin in history, and the traditional TRANSAXLE layout brand for sports cars with an attributed to the rear axle of the gearbox for it is not suitable, so the entire power unit will supply from Daimler plants.
The British brand recently confirmed that the DBX salon will be offered with many additional accessories, including a branded child seat with a leather trim Aston Martin, heated front desk, all-weather mats and a Field Sport package, which will add a wardrobe with a weapon in the car.
DBX received 5 preset driving modes. By default, the Sport mode lowers 10 mm clearance; Sport Plus reduces it for another 15 mm and increases the response level in other dynamic systems. Terrain mode increases 15 mm ride height, and Terrain Plus, available only at low speeds, will increase it by 30 mm. There will also be a mode at which the clearance is reduced at once by 50 mm.
Aston Martin will also release a number of 11 additional accessory packages for DBX. Among them, Snow Pack (which adds a ski bag, a skiing rack on the roof and anti-slip chains), Touring Pack (includes a set of four luggage and bags in the cabin) and Pet Pack (including pet bed, portable washing machine and bumper protector ).
