The processor includes a new high-performance ARM Cortex-X1 kernel at a frequency up to 2.9 GHz. The new image processing processor (ISP) on exynos 2100 supports camera with sensors up to 200 megapixel and it can be connected to six separate sensors and process data from four of them simultaneously, in contrast from S888, which manages only three threads.
A multi-dimensional and frame processor (MCFP) can combine image data from multiple sensors for better quality scaling and supernatural pictures. The exynos 2100 also uses NPU, it analyzes the scene, detects faces and objects to select the optimal settings.
Finally, this is the first flagship exynos with a built-in modem 5G. In 980 and 1080 there are also built-in modems, but they belong to the upper average level. The modem can reach the downstream channel 7.35 Gb / s in the MMWAVE network and 5.1 Gb / s in the range of less than 6 Gigahertz, which corresponds to exynos 990, or 3.0 Gbps in 4G networks with support for quadrature amplitude modulation 1024 ( 1024-QAM).
