Annual inflation in the region in December 2020 accelerated to 5.6%. It has developed above the inflation rate in the Central Federal District (4.7%) and in Russia as a whole (4.9%).
As the Vladimir branch of the Bank of Russia celebrates, the food goods are most noticeable. The growth of the indicator to 7.7% was influenced by factors common to the whole country: an increase in costs against the background of weakening of the ruble and reducing imports. This, in particular, explains the increase in prices for import pears, bananas, oranges, as well as milk and eggs, in the production of which many imported forage components. A regional feature was an outbreak of the disease on the pig farms of the region, which led to an increase in the cost of this meat.
Debt last year was cold, therefore the costs of greenhouse farms increased - this was affected by the cost of fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. Local stocks of open soil vegetables in the region are exhausted, brown potatoes, cabbage and carrots have become more expensive due to the increase in prices for transportation.
One of the most notable factors that has influenced in December last year to non-food inflation (the indicator increased to 5.5%) was the imbalance of supply and supply in the market of passenger cars. Due to the pandemic, the supply of new cars was reduced, the demand of Vladimirtsev was high: awaiting future prices, many sought to buy a car before the New Year.
But the deterrent factor was to reduce the prices for detergents and cleaning products - with the growth of proposals and in connection with the New Year's promotions.
The annual inflation in the field of services in the Vladimir region slowed down and was at the level of 2.6%. Prices for the monthly fee for cellular services decreased with the expansion of the range of more available tariff plans. The rise in prices for tickets to the theater and individual household services (for example, the organization of celebrations and repair of shoes) - so prices responded to real demand in a pandemic. By the end of the year, the influence of legislative innovations was noticeable at the cost of the CTP. Advanced tariff corridor, the ability to dotted betting for each driver led to a decrease in the cost of the auto-trap policy.
According to the forecast of the Bank of Russia, in the context of monetary policy, annual inflation will be 3.5 - 4.0% in 2021 and will remain near 4% later.
