Hello, dear readers of the website uspei.com. At the CES 2021 Intel show showed many products about which conversations for a whole month, but in this news we will analyze new Intel processors of the 11th generation, which the company created to compete with Apple, which refused to Intel processors and produces its Arm M1 chip , already on 5-nm technology. Recall that the smaller the chip, the greater the quantity to fit them in the processor.

Processors will appear in new devices closer to autumn 2021, and will use the improved version of the 10-nm Superfin production process. Intel reported that when creating a new processor, a hybrid architecture was used similar to ARM Big.little, in which high-performance nuclei is combined with their high efficiency. Intel stated that it would use these developments also when creating chips for desktop and laptops, and will not be limited to mobile devices.

Intel's 11-generation processors for laptops came out under the code name Tiger Lake with a capacity of 35 W and 45 W. As already said, these are improved versions of Tiger Lake at 15 and 35 W, which received a clock frequency of 5.0 GHz. They will have up to 8 cores, the Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6 / 6e and PCIe Gen 4 interface, to support powerful graphics processors.

To knock down a little crown with AMD, Intel introduced a new Rocket Lake Core I9-11900K chip for desktop PC supporting PCIE 4.0 and with a higher 19% IPC. Although AMD already manufactures processors on 7-nm technology. Eh ... catch up again.

Pentium Silver and Celeron Processor Line, based on a new architecture, promise an increase in performance by 35% in most applications and 78% improvement of graphic performance.

And finally, Intel introduced Tiger Lake for business consumers, dividing its products into two rules - VPRO and EVO VPRO. The latter is mostly VPRO plus the current Intel EVO platform. Both offer enhanced security and business functions as usual.

All new processors will appear no later than the end of March.

At the end of the Intel presentation showed a computer with an even more new and powerful processor - Alder Lake with the architecture of Golden Cove and Gracemont, which will be released by the fall of this year. These will be the first generation Intel 12-meter desktop processors on the 10-nm Superfin technical process.
