Processors will appear in new devices closer to autumn 2021, and will use the improved version of the 10-nm Superfin production process. Intel reported that when creating a new processor, a hybrid architecture was used similar to ARM Big.little, in which high-performance nuclei is combined with their high efficiency. Intel stated that it would use these developments also when creating chips for desktop and laptops, and will not be limited to mobile devices.
Intel's 11-generation processors for laptops came out under the code name Tiger Lake with a capacity of 35 W and 45 W. As already said, these are improved versions of Tiger Lake at 15 and 35 W, which received a clock frequency of 5.0 GHz. They will have up to 8 cores, the Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6 / 6e and PCIe Gen 4 interface, to support powerful graphics processors.
To knock down a little crown with AMD, Intel introduced a new Rocket Lake Core I9-11900K chip for desktop PC supporting PCIE 4.0 and with a higher 19% IPC. Although AMD already manufactures processors on 7-nm technology. Eh ... catch up again.
