On the eve of the debut of the Q4 E-TRON, the German automaker demonstrated how the technically loaded interior of the last aircraft Audi will look like.
The first Audi Electric crossovers, E-TRON and E-TRON Sportback, won popularity due to elegant appearance, solid characteristics and modern salon. When the new Q4 E-Tron electric car leaves the next month, it will pave the same path, but with a large number of functions and trunk than some of its closest competitors from the DVS.
From the technical side, Q4 E-Tron uses the AUDI branded virtual cabin with a standard 10.1-inch MMI touch screen - the same as E-TRON - or an additional 11.6-inch touchscreen. When Q4 E-TRON goes on sale, it will have the largest screen of all available on the Audi market. In addition, two new features will be available in Q4 E-TRON: "Hi, Audi" voice assistant and an optional projection display with augmented reality.
The AUDI augmented reality interface projects arrows, start and stop points and much more on the windshield. Elements of the projection display of augmented reality are "projected" by an average distance of 10 meters from the driver - or a little further for the arrows and waypoints, depending on the situation. The field of the review is about 1.8 meters diagonally, and in combination with the image formation unit (or PGU) and the LCD screen, it allows the driver to easily read all the information at first sight.
Another highlight of the interior Q4 E-Tron is a thoughtful "packaging". Thanks to the MEB modular architecture under it (divided from Volkswagen ID.3) Q4 pulled out to 4.6 meters in length, which makes it almost as big as comparable BMW X3 with a gasoline engine. But thanks to a low battery installed and a long wheelbase (2.77 m) Q4 E-Tron has the same place behind the second row, as well as BMW, 521 liters compared to 523 liters. And with a folded second number, Q4 has 1,489 liters against 1,430 liters of BMW.
Q4 E-Tron also offers a solid place to store things in the cabin, and not only in the rear. Users have access to a common storage space in a glove box and a central console with two built-in cup holders and up to four USB ports. As for the materials, buyers can choose from traditional, artificial or genuine skin Nappa, in particular, for model S Line. Artificial leather is supplemented with high-quality Dinamica trim, which looks and felt as suede, but is 45% recycled materials.
