The past five years have made it possible to significantly expand the possibilities for conservation of ecology in our city.
This has a lot of accomplishing the introduction of a comfortable housing and a favorable environment, calculated for 2016 - 2020 in Belarus. It implied the creation of favorable living conditions of the population, primarily due to improving the efficiency of housing and communal services. The program included in itself, including work with utility waste. When a factory for utilization and mechanical sorting of solid communal waste was opened in 2016, the company's capabilities was opened to process more than a hundred thousand tons of garbage per year, 80% of which is regularly directed to the implementation as secondary raw materials. A project for the construction of solid secondary fuels for the Krasnoselsky cement plant is being developed right now. The fuel composition includes previously sorted waste - glass, plastic, metal and paper, writes "Grodno Plus"
Alexander Karpovich, chief engineer of the Grodno city utilities:
- Initially, the selection was planned 24 types of waste. To date, the plant is already selecting 32 species. And all these species are implemented for further processing. Work on the development of this direction continues today. At the stage of exit, a program to collect solid communal waste is not only the city of Grodno, but also from the Grodno region.
An important step was to brew all garbageings in the city and place containers for separate garbage collection in the courtyards. In Grodno, 843 new platforms appeared on which more than 30 thousand containers have placed. The necessary equipment for washing containers, garbage trucks with rear loading and portal systems for the transportation of waste has also been purchased. And, by the way that they say, the Grodnins themselves became attentively treating garbage sorting. Each may contribute to the preservation of ecology. The next step in the work for employees of the Grodno housing and communal services will be withdrawal until the end of 2021 from the operation of all polygons for the disposal of solid utility waste. Until the end of 2023, land plots that were previously used as polygons for their garbage will be reclaimed.
