Foreign scientists analyzed a number of studies on the study of a positive effect to health a quick walk and run. Based on its results, the researchers talked about the advantages and disadvantages of each other of both types of physical activity.

Summarizing the results of studies adopted in the scientific work, the experts noted the general benefit of physical activity in the form of blood saturation with oxygen and blood tissues, improving self-efficacy and reduction of depression and anxiety. At the same time, according to scientists, in the matter of slimming, running, even quite slow, is a significantly more effective manifestation of activity. So, when a person run, having a mass of 70 kg, with a speed of only 8 km / h, there is burning calorie in the amount of 600 units, while when walking with an almost similar rate of 5.6 km / h calorie is burned twice as smaller. An even greater importance for the body is in terms of an increase in life expectancy. According to statistics, only 5-10 minutes of run at a speed of 10 km / h can reduce the likelihood of a fatal outcome of cardiovascular or other dangerous diseases. Studies also showed that people having addiction to running, on average, they live by 3.8-4.7 years longer than the residents of the planet abstaining from the running load.

On the other hand, the use of running as the main physical activity has a clear deficiency before walking in the form of higher traumaticity. The preference to run people often get injuries in the form of a stressful fracture of tibia, damage to the Achille tendon or plantar fasciosis. As a result, about 50% of the "runners" in the process of its running practice are somehow injuries, and the number of damage affected by fast walking is only 1%.

Summarizing its recommendations, experts advised in the process of life to reasonably combine both of the above types of physical activity. At the same time, in order to avoid obtaining unwanted concomitant consequences, fans of running or walking, it is better to pre-consult with profile medical specialists.
