Armenian Foreign Ministry called the condition of complete resolution of the conflict in Karabakh

The Armenian Foreign Ministry called the conditions for the final resolution of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ara Ayvazyan. He also summed up the negotiations with the OSCE head of Anne Linde.

It is possible to fully resolve the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, only under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group, said Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan during a briefing on the basis of the meeting with the OSCE Chairman Anne Linde on March 16. He also noted that the three-sided statement of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia carry elements of the peaceful settlement of the conflict.

"With the signing of a trilateral statement and the placement of Russian peacekeepers, the conflict has moved to a new stage. We consider a statement as a document aimed at restoring the cease-fire and security regime, "said Aivazyan.

At the same time, according to the minister, this document does not indicate key points that will allow finally resolving the conflict. "The primary of them is the question of the status based on the law of Armenians of Artsakh to self-determination," the Foreign Minister said.

In this regard, Avazyan noted the need to strengthen and cohesion the OSCE, which is responsible for safety in the region. He also stressed that the Armenian people stand for a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict. Therefore, according to the minister, Armenia will continue to fight for a fair world with the support of international organizations.

In turn, the OSCE head drew attention to the domestic political situation in the country. She stated that he was impressed by the democratic reforms of 2018 in Armenia, but stressed their fragility in the conditions of the current political crisis. "I urge all parties to resolve the situation in peaceful way, respecting democratic processes and the rule of law in the framework of the OSCE commitments," she said.

We will remind, earlier, the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan dismissed the Deputy Head of the General Staff, who challenged his words about the inefficiency of Russian missile systems "Iskander" in the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. In response to this, the head of the General Staff Armenia Onik Gasparyan called on sending the Prime Minister of the country to resign.

Later, Pashinyan signed a decree on the dismissal of Gasparyan himself, but president of the country twice refused to sign it, but did not dispute him in a constitutional court, which led to the automatic dismissal of the Head of the General Staff. After that, the leading composition of the Armenian Armed Forces issued a statement in which the premiere resignation was supported.
