At the Sunset of Life, Jimi Hendriks worked hard on the fact that as a result it was supposed to become a double studio called "First Rays of the New Rising Sun". However, the essential part of the tracks that were to enter this LP was scattered over post-mortem release ... So, at the end of 1973, Loose Ends release was announced from 8 tracks, 6 of which were considered as incomplete or low-quality ... For this, Loose Ends was not released in the United States! It should be noted that the guitarist worked a lot in the studio in the last years of his life, and as a result - a lot of tracks were recorded, which were close to the ideal ... When Hendricks did not, Alan Douglas was to give an assessment of the audio material, which never entered One of the previously released albums of the musician ... As already mentioned above, Crash Landing was the first album of Hendrque, the producing of which Douglas was engaged in ... Of course, it had its consequences, and after the release in the mid-70s, the collection could not help but cause controversy ... So, many reigned due to the fact that Douglas hired session musicians (in order to overwrite individual fragments, make the imposition of instruments and so on ...) who did not simply have ever met with Hendrichos personally: their game simply blocked the original sound of the tools and, thus, gave songs a completely different character ... the only thing that pleases is that the vocals and guitar contribution of Hendrque were saved.
If you argue, adhering to a neutral position, it can be assumed that Douglas went to such a brave step in order to give the compositions of the completed mood and sound ... because you should not forget that the tracks with Crash Landing could not be just in development: it could be at all raw demo Versions ... However, this is not all that he glanced Hendrque fans. So, for example, Douglas decorated the capital track with women's backing vocals, and proclaimed himself with co-author more than half of the material with Crash Landing! And despite the famous tracks "Message To Love" and "With The Power" - this plate is designed more for collectors: after all, they will want to hear such rarities like "Captain Coconut" (psychedelic tool) and "Peace in Mississippi" (one more The instrumental and hard track in the album) ... Listening to the "Peace in Mississippi", it is not difficult to understand why Hendrix is called the first performer of Havie-Metal: he definitely had a great influence on such early Hedbingers, like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Budgie and Deep Purple!
