"On January 27, 2021, the delegation of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, under the leadership of the Minister Baghdat Musina, took part in the second meeting of the Interstate Council on Space, which is the body of industry cooperation of the CIS member states," says in the report on Thursday.
As it is specified, 18 current issues on cooperation in the field of development and development of space were considered at the meeting. Kazakhstan presented their experience in the participants of the meeting on the digitalization of the sectors of the economy based on the use of these space system of remote sensing of the Earth, geographic information technology and satellite navigation.
"Also, the parties discussed the creation of optical and telecommunication satellites on the basis of an assembly testing complex in Kazakhstan, the implementation of an investment project to create a Kazakhstan Satellite Satellite Site Smaller, consisting of three spacecraft," the press service writes.
It is noted that in the framework of the meeting, on the proposal of the CIS Executive Committee, Bagdat Musin, the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry was elected chairman of the Council for 2021.
"Following the meeting, the Council's work plan for 2021 was approved. The parties noted that the agenda of the meeting was timely and decisions adopted in its course will contribute to the expansion and improvement of the efficiency of the cooperation of CIS member states in the field of space activities, "said the ministry.
It is also reported that the Council's meeting is carried out under the CIS Convention on cooperation in the field of research and use of outer space for peaceful purposes and agreements on the implementation of the joint activities of the CIS member states in the field of research and the use of outer space for peaceful purposes signed in 2018.
"Members of the Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan took part in the meeting, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Rossotrudnia. Representatives of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan took part in a meeting of the Council as observers. Participation in the online meeting of the Council also adopted the heads of enterprises of the Space Industry of Kazakhstan, "- summarized in the report.
