Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the global leader in the industry of luxury hospitality, in collaboration with Emin Capital, a private investment company specializing in real estate and hotel business, reported plans for the transition of the former Hotel Formentor in Mallorca under the management of Four Seasons.

At the hotel, which first opened in 1929, a large-scale reconstruction will be conducted before the hotel will reiterate his doors under the name Four Seasons in 2023. Guests of the updated hotel located on the territory of 1200 hectares at Cape Formenser will be waiting for 110 rooms and suites, a magnificent untouched beach, as well as winery just five minutes away.

Located an hour from Palma de Mallorca Airport, a new project will present a variety of gastronomic concepts, an excellent spa and exclusive water entertainment, being the sole on the coast resort with your own access to the beach.

All 110 rooms and suites will be equipped with balconies with views of the sea and forest, allowing guests to enjoy the island charming nature directly from their numbers. The reconstruction of the hotel will be held under the artistic managing the Estudio Lamela architectural bureau and SCT ESTUDIO DE ARQUITECTURA, and the interior design will be executed by the Gilles & Boissier team.

A five minutes drive from the resort is a winery, where guests can go for exclusive gastronomic programs. In addition, the resort offers an indoor restaurant, a beach restaurant and a pool grill, as well as its own tennis court and a beautiful spa.

The new resort will also be an ideal place for meetings, private events and unforgettable weddings through an extensive conference space, including three rooms and open-air sites surrounded by picturesque landscapes.

The project was designed with environmental care and the use of such environmental technologies as the restoration of the natural vegetation of the region, reducing water consumption due to the harvesting of rainwater and the use of gray water irrigation, heat recovery system, the use of solar energy by installing solar and panels, as well as food processing system. Other project initiatives include the use of electric vehicles and low power consumption due to a carefully thought-out designer approach.

Following the recent discovery of Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Madrid in September 2020, the new Four Seasons project in Mallorca will be the second hotel of the chain in Spain.
