"On the fact of leakage of confidential information, the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Krasnoselsky district of Moscow opened a criminal case on the signs of a crime, which is provided for by Part 1 of Art. 273 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, "said the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
Law enforcement agencies also reported that at the moment operational and search measures and investigative actions are carried out to identify persons who are involved in the execution of this crime.
It is worth recalling that on December 9, 2020, in the Russian media, information appeared that cybersecurity experts in open access on the Internet found a archive that contained files and links to pages in Google Docs. Each of the file files contained confidential data - the personal information of Muscovites, which in the period from April to June 2020 sorted by coronavirus infection.
The total size of the populated database with personal data is about 940 MB.
