Moscow law enforcement agencies announced that a criminal case was initiated under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the use of malicious computer software due to the leakage of confidential information of Muscovites, who were overcome COVID-19.

It is worth recalling that on December 9, 2020, in the Russian media, information appeared that cybersecurity experts in open access on the Internet found a archive that contained files and links to pages in Google Docs. Each of the file files contained confidential data - the personal information of Muscovites, which in the period from April to June 2020 sorted by coronavirus infection.

The total size of the populated database with personal data is about 940 MB. Open access was complete information for each Muscovite Railing: FULL NAME, date of birth, passport details, address of residence, medical data, etc. A total of more than 100,000 residents of Moscow leaked to the network as a result of this data leakage.
