One of the owners of the Pickup Jeep Gladiator in California spoke on the portal JeepGladiorforForum story about how he lost guarantees five days after purchase, but learned about it in a few months. The main official reason for the removal of the car with the warranty was to ride the mud.
The motorist told that he acquired his Jeep Gladiator in July last year and two days after the purchase, he decided to go to improvised off-road tests. The author notes that the depth of the puddles, according to which he rode, did not exceed one feet (about 300 mm). However, on the published pictures it is noticeable that the car is covered with mud along the roof. Pickup could not independently leave the test site due to the generator breakdown.
In the nearest dealer center, Jeep, the motorist said that it is necessary to change the generator, battery and radiator, and the cost of repair will exceed 3 thousand dollars. In the Dealer Center, where the car was purchased said that only the generator should be replaced.
Also, the motorist said that the stop signals were denied in October, and after a few days the start-stop system stopped working. Two weeks later there were problems with the locking of the rear differential. The owner said that because of this, he almost came across the accident on dry asphalt. Turning to the dealership center, he learned that the replacement is subject to the rear axle, battery and optics, and the repair will need to be carried out at its own expense, because the factory guarantee is imposed an intimidated restriction after the July incident. An extended warranty that was also acquired when buying a car, it will not be possible to use.
About the month it took to find out the circumstances. FCA representatives told the car enthusiast that the warranty was removed due to improvised off-road tests, which in July led to the replacement of the generator. The restriction was imposed on the initiative of the dealer, to which the pickup was brought to the repair initially. Now the car owner intends to turn to a lawyer to sue.
