LEVISKY ARQUITETOS Architectural Studio introduced a development strategy for a recreation area at the Grande Hotel Senac São Pedro, in São Paulo, a real ecosystem.

Key principles of the project

Three key principles of the project - environmental friendliness, environmental protection and accessibility - resided by Levisky Arquitetos from the start of construction before the commissioning of the facility. The task of architects was to create an effectively functioning ensemble, which would reduce permanent service costs, did not harm the environment and created a favorable social and cultural environment. Park area - 15540 square meters. m, building area - 1500 square meters. m.

Ecology

The spatial solution of the new ensemble was thought of taking into account the topography of a plot, natural, historical and architectural contexts. Architects have chosen building materials that allowed rationally to use the site, avoid unnecessary waste and minimize the number of unclaimed elements.

Environmental protection

In the process of construction, new trees were planted, all existing vegetation was preserved, and green plantings are sealed with new species. All this not only integrated the new project in the landscape, but also increased biodiversity, strengthened the stability of the entire ensemble.

Availability

Architects adhered to the principles of universal design and due to easily readable visual communication sought to facilitate orientation in the space and mobility of guests.

In the Grand Hotel Senac São Pedro, Brazilian architects Levisky Arquitetos offered to form the main axis coming from the main building to the pool, which would combine previously scattered blocks of the hotel. Such a decision made it possible to expand and improve the possibilities for recreation, to harmoniously enter a new recreational zone in the landscape, ensure social interaction and make leisure more mobile and comfortable for guests of different ages.

Using the topographic advantages of the site, Levisky Arquitetos combined two blocks of the hotel "squares", in which there were zones for a relaxing and outdoor surcharge: here you can read, play, work out sports, to carry out events or just lie down. Open areas, zones in the shade of pergol or trees are equipped with everything necessary for fun and creative rest and are easily accessible.

The "highlight of the project" was the construction of a new water park saving on hot days. A large water playground includes several pools of different depths, water slides and other attractions with bright and attractive design. The aquason is not only functional, but also symbolic: it sends to the history of the hotel and his relationship with the city of Aguas de San Pedro.

And although not only children can entertain in the water parking park, but also adults, for a more mature public there is a zone for a relaxing and contemplative rest - in the park, along a shallow reservoir. In the morning, when the sun is not palette yet, you can lie on the chaise lounge, sunbathing and enjoying a beautiful opening scenery or read.

Those who want to hide from the heat and the sun can stay in a semi-open two-level pavilion. There is a cafe, bar, a play area for children, training classes and halls for events of various focus. The modular structure ensures the flexibility of the planning and makes it possible to adapt the space under the features of the activities carried out for guests of different age groups. Doors with retractable partitions made of colorless glass visually expand the premises and level the boundaries between the architecture and the natural environment. Even in the closed state, the partitions provide visual permeability and allow you to enjoy the opening landscape. In addition, nature continues inside the pavilion - in the trees and landed green plants passing through canopy.

Before the pavilion is a large outdoor area where you can play sports, actively or calmly rest, hold concerts and any other events.
