The exhibition of creativity of French comicsists takes place within the framework of the cultural and educational program of the holiday of reading "Day H" with the support of the Center for French and Culture Alliance Francesz-Irkutsk and the Irkutsk oil company.
According to the organizers, the year of comic is held in France and beyond from January 2020 until the end of June 2021 on the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of France. An extensive program of events developed by the National Center for Books and the International Center for Hand Drawn Stories includes exhibitions, discussions, creative meetings, contests, publishing projects.
The exhibition "Stars of the French Comics in Russia", developed within the framework of the comic book by the French Institute in Russia and Curators Dmitry Yakovlev (Publishing House "Bumkniga") and Mikhail Khachaturov, an expert and the translator addressed to both the general public and professionals. The separation of exposure into three thematic sections (heroes, authors, author tandems) allows you to cover the evolution of "ninth art" from the 1930s to modern times.
In Russia, the exhibition was first presented in September 2020, at the Moscow International Book Fair. In October, during the autumn holiday of reading "Day of H", the works of French comic students were acquainted with Irkutsk. Now the residents of Ust-Kut are also able to learn more about the "ninth art".
- The exhibition "Stars of the French Comics in Russia" in Ust-Kuta will be the first event of a large cultural and educational program of the holiday of reading "Day H" for 2021. This year, the main theme of events is art and creative thinking.
