At the exhibition you can familiarize yourself with rare documentary materials about the wizard. The center of the exhibition will be a dome projection in which the recently discovered and previously unknown graphic works of the artist will be presented for the first time.

In Perm, the exhibition will open on February 26 and will work until the end of March. In total, during 2021, the works of Gregory Zhuravleva from the main Russian collections will be able to see visitors to 23 historical parks from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Moscow.

- The story of a wide audience about the works of Grigory Zhuravleva, which was the example of the faith, the strength of the spirit, exceptional courage, self-sacrifice and talent will undoubtedly serve to strengthen the moral values ​​in Russian society, the head of the Association of Historical Parkov Russia, Russia, Ivan Vladimirovich Eustin, believes.

Gregory Nikolayevich Zhuravlev (1860 1916) The peasant painter from the Samara province was disabled since childhood: he was atrophied hands and feet. Gregory was educated, learned to write and draw, holding a brush and pencil in the teeth. Possessing a calligraphic handwriting, he, at the request of neighbors, wrote petitions to various institutions. Created icons and paintings on biblical plots, portraits of their countrymen.

Currently, about thirty works of Grigory Zhuravleva are known. His creations are represented in the State Hermitage, the State Museum of the History of Religion, the Church-Archaeological Cabinet of the Moscow Spiritual Academy in the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra, the collection of Icons of the Foundation of the Apostle Andrei First-Called, the Samara Regional Historical Museum of Museum. P.V. Alabin, Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, as well as in monasteries, temples and private collections in both Russia and abroad.
