On February 10, Deputy Head of Rosselkhoznadzor Anton Carmazine held in the format of video conferencing Negotiations with the Deputy Secretary for the Protection of Plant and Animals of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and the Supply of Brazil Marciu Karlus.

The meeting was devoted to the continuation of the previously launched dialogue on supplies to Russia from Brazil Soybean Beans.

Anton Carmazin drew the attention of the Brazilian side to the need to strictly comply with the requirements of the Memorandum between the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision and the Secretariat for the Protection of Plant and Animals of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supplies to the Federal Republic of Brazil on the supply of soybeans and soy shrost to the territory of the Russian Federation from the Federal Republic of Brazil from 2009.

The representative of Rosselkhoznadzor recalled that in accordance with the requirements of this Protocol, the Brazilian side in the event of violations made by exporters of products to Russia should take operational response measures, in particular, to exclude such enterprises from the list of exporters.

The deputy head of the service informed the Brazilian side about the need to accompany the batches of soybeans shipped to Russia, testing protocols for safety indicators, including glyphosate, provided for by the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union Tr Ts 015/2011 "On Safety of Grain". At the same time, the protocols must be issued by accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply Brazil Testing laboratories.

During the negotiations, Brazilian colleagues reported that the manufacturers of soybeans use glyphosate in the pre-sowing period and after the appearance of plant shoots.

At the same time, the Brazilian side informed about the readiness to form export bobs of soybeans in accordance with the requirements of the EAEU's legislation, but this may lead to a decrease in supply volumes, since according to the Brazilian competent authority, the content of glyphosate in the soybeans of Brazil on average is from 0, 17 to 2.81 mg / kg, which is higher than the norm provided by the requirements of the EAEU legislation (0.15 mg / kg).

In addition, the Brazilian side noted that organic soybean is also made in the country, with the cultivation of which chemical plant protection products are not used, however, due to higher cost, this product is currently not in demand in the Russian market.

The Brazilian Office pledged in the near future to send the results of investigations of cases of detection of exceeded glyphosate content in products admitted by a number of Brazilian companies, as well as to actualize the list of Brazilian exporters interested in the supply of soybeans to Russia.

The parties agreed to hold the next negotiations in order to discuss the established situation with the supply of soybeans to Russia in early March.
