- I decided to stop the hunger strike. Why did I do it? Exactly at their own request. I did not take food more than forty days and feel the strength and opportunities to hold out. But I was simply shocked by an incredible wave of solidarity. As well as the requests of hundreds and thousands of Belarusians to stop, waiting for our common victory healthy.
And I also know that many also started a hunger strike while starving me. I can not take such a big burden of responsibility, I don't want to suffer for my conscious choice. I read all your requests in letters, I realized that I just can't upset and make worrying my family and all of you.
I have never had a desire to somehow stand out, I did not want publicity.
I just wanted to live quietly and raise my daughter. But I was forced to go on this extreme measure.
I was arrested long before the elections, and I did not imagine, did not realize those cardinal changes that occurred over the past six months. From prison it is not so noticeable. I realized that I could rely on you, because you will succeed. Now I am absolutely sure. You are not alien to compassion and solidarity, but they do not care about the torment of hundreds of families, children, for human life. You will not let down. Now such times when there are no wrong solutions, there are actions.
Behind the winter necessarily comes in spring, the night is replaced by the dawn. Historical processes have not yet been able to cancel or stop any decrees, arrests or executions.

P.S. Many wrote that I would not achieve anything. This is not true. I attracted attention not only to my work, but also to the situation with political prisoners in our country. Now everyone is told about us loudly and in all possible sites require the liberation of innocently arrested and convicted. This is a lot. On the same day, the wife of Igor Leopher told Onliner that her husband declared an indefinite hunger strike.
"Yes, everything is true, he declared a hunger strike before removing all the accusations or a change to him a preventive measure," said Daria.
In solidarity with Igor Leosik, simple Belarusians were connected to the hunger strike, and the cities of Belarus and abroad passed shares in support of the blogger.
