Startup Arrival, which is based on the ex-head of Yota Group and former deputy minister Denis Sverdlov, showed the first prototype of its own electropurgome. The car is fully ready for road tests that should begin in the middle of 2021, writes AutoNews.
The novelty is based on a scalable platform where you can create vehicles of different sizes and with different types of body. The machine will be available both in the standard 5.1-meter modification, and in an elongated up to 6.5 meters of version. Electropour, capable of transporting goods weighing up to 1975 kilograms, was developed jointly with drivers and delivery operators, which should "ensure maximum functionality in real operating conditions."
Also, Arrival promises the low cost of an electric car, which will be comparable to commercial vans equipped with traditional engine. At the same time, the developer notes that a similar machine will have a significantly lower total cost of possession compared to gasoline or diesel counterparts.
A climate system, multimedia with 15.6-inch touchscreen, a circular review system, as well as a number of modern electronic helpers, will be included in the accessible equipment.
The technical characteristics of the electric van are not yet called. At the moment, it is only known that the machine will be available with batteries of various volumes in the range from 44 to 133 kW / h, depending on the stroke required by the customer.
To date, at the enterprise, Arrival British Oxfordshire is being built with the first batch of 25 cars, but full-fledged mass production starts in the 3rd quarter of 2022. In January, Arrival has already concluded a contract for the supply of 10 thousand machines for the US Express Delivery Operator UPS.
For mass release of cars in Arrival, it is planned to organize a developed network of special enterprises around the world, which in the company called "microfabrics". At the moment, there are such platforms in Oxfordshire and in South Carolina (USA), but afterwards their number will grow to several dozen.
