Volkswagen confirmed that it will soon release a fully electric SUV-compartment called ID.5. The new model has already entered the phase of preparation for production, and the finished car should go on sale in the second half of this year. Confirmation of the status of pre-production assembly of the car appeared last week in German media: the model will be built at the VW electric vehicle factory in Zvikau in Germany, where ID.3 and ID models are also produced. Like Volkswagen ID.4, the starting version of ID.5 is likely to be equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 201 hp, installed on the rear axle and a battery for 77 kWh.
