Designers of the "Wheel.ru" portal presented their vision of the KIA Sportage crossover of the new generation.
The KIA Sportage model appeared in 1993, and now the fourth generation of the crossover has been produced, presented in 2015 and survived restyling three years later. For several months, the Korean company has been testing completely new KIA Sportage, which has repeatedly came across the lenses of photoscone cameras. Currently, the crossover is hidden under a thick layer of disguise, but some elements of the exterior can already be considered. A massive grid of the radiator will appear in front, which will be combined with major headlights. So far, the optics are exclined, but the designers decided to imagine how they may look.
The proportions of the crossover are similar to the current model, but the features of the body will become more heavily. The automaker will change the shape of the side glazing due to the ascending windows line and the changed tilt of the rear door racks. Side should appear to appear - horizontal just below the door handles and half-headed over the rear wheel arches. The novelty will receive the rear lights, combined with the line, but their form will become more angular and, most likely, they will shine in full width. On some spy snapshots, it can be noted that the model has a two-color body color, like a younger model SELTOS. Also, experts noted that test instances have no rear wiper. Most likely, he will hide under the spoiler. On the rendered images, the designers presented the car on the body of which the new emblem of the brand is bangled, which was presented quite recently.
The new Kia Sportage will be based on the architecture from the Hyundai Tucson fourth generation. The Tucson also borrows the motor gamut that includes gasoline, diesel and even hybrid engines. Most likely, in the basic version, the model will be delivered with front-wheel drive, but the all-wheel drive transmission will be available. The premiere of the new generation KIA Sportage is expected in the spring of 2021.
The current KIA Sportage in Russia is offered from 1,584,900 rubles per version with a 2.0-liter 150-power engine and front-wheel drive. The version with automatic transmission costs 120,000 rubles more expensive, and the all-wheel drive modification with the "automatic" is estimated at least 1,869,900 rubles. There is another 184-strong modification with a motor 2.4 and "automatic" - from 2 020 900 rubles.
