The wonderful embankment, as in the resort town, the pedestrian and bicycle paths are packed with tiles of different colors, plenty of benches, children's game and sports grounds, fountains, sculptures, there are rental of boats, catamarans, etc.
So I wanted to transfer it all to Petersburg! We do not remember a single so well comfortable recreation area in the city center at the Neva.
The second day of stay dedicated to the Museum of the World Ocean, which heard a lot of laudatory reviews. I "sailor" with experience, I know a lot about the sea-ocean, in Klaipeda the maritime museum began working back in the 80s, the ships-court did different things, but this museum left a stunning impression.
He was created slowly, gradually, from one Research Ship (NIS) "Vityaz", put on the eternal parking in 1994. And now this is a huge area of the berth with several ships: the old CPT-129 is the middle fishing trawler, once starting the development of the Atlantic, NIS "Vityaz", hereinafter - Space Research Ship "Cosmonaut Viktor Patsayev" and diesel-electric submarine B-413 . The antidalctural seaplane used in the 60-70 years of the twentieth century was exhibited here, with a detailed description, also various types of weapons from maritime warships.
In the main building, from the blue glass, the exposition "The World of Ocean. Touch ... ", which includes marine aquariums, collections of sinks of marine mollusks and corals, geological and paleontological samples, as well as the largest skeleton skeleton in Russia.
To inspect everyone carefully, everyone reads everything in the main building, one visit is not enough. On the territory of the pier, you can walk for how long, the entrance to the berth is free, free. In the housing of the museum you need to take tickets, each (several of them) - a separate ticket. You also need to take tickets if you want to rise on board any vessel and submarine, there are excursions. For pensioners with disability entrance everywhere free.
I spent about an hour in the main building, I visited an aquarium with the marine inhabitants, and then walked along the pier, admired water, by the courts, photographed. If fate will allow you to once again visit Kaliningrad, without fail, I will certainly visit this wonderful museum, especially since it is still built, expands.
Coming out from the territory of the museum, I saw the original "Pioneers of the Ocean Lov" chart-129, in the form of two huge concrete sails, and next to the monument to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the patron of sailors.
This is even a small area, on the same wall it is written that the memorial is dedicated to the "bright memory of the fishermen who died in the sea", on the other, the names and numbers of the courts killed in the ocean - 31 vessels from 1949 to 2007 are inscribed!
While I saw the monument, I saw a girl who was invited for a walk on the water on a small boat "Northern Star". Boat swayed on the water next to CPT-129. Why not? I had to wait a bit until the "agitator" will collect the group of those who want, a person is 8-10. Boats, riding tourists, in Kaliningrad a lot, from different berths, and in the afternoon of those who want to be neho.
As long as they waited, they talked to the owner of the boat, he and the captain, said that she had rolled people with the ninth year, was licensed and all the necessary documents. The excursion goes accompanied by audio records, and the questions, if you arise, responds myself. Finally gathered a group, a walk costs 450 rubles, for pensioners and schoolchildren - 200. Duration - 45-50 minutes.
The walk turned out gorgeous, the weather is sunny, unrest in the bay and there is no river, she strips only from the oncoming vessels. The story of all the attractions that took place was interesting, but honestly, I was more admired to everyone that I saw, not very listening to ... Already I looked at all the ships from the moisture wall of the museum, and then the boat came out at the mouth of the preger.
Passed under the bunk bridge, in the trading port there are cargo ships, even saw the ship with the port of the Saint Petersburg, wrapped his hand. Then the boat went under the bridges into the old part of the city, again past the island of Kanta, past the historic building of the Königsberg Exchange, in which the Palace of Sailors' Culture Palace was, then the regional center of the Youth Culture, and now the Museum of Fine Arts will be placed.
One of the most beautiful cities of Russia! Such a combination of saved old, pre-war Konigsberg and new.
And enjoying a water walk, I decided to go on foot along Leninsky Avenue to theatrical Square, to the duster.
A lot of pre-war houses have survived on Leninsky Prospect, they are all renovated as new. Many different cafes, snack bars. The theater Square and the theater changed little, opposite the beautiful Square with a colonnade and fountain, and the painter, across the road - a monument to Friedrich Schiller Sculptor Stanislav Kaura, who was installed back in 1910 and survived two wars.
