In the Eurasian Economic Union will be launched a single service for labor migrants. This was announced on February 5 by the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during the Digital Almaty Forum. The head of the Russian government announced the timing of the launch of a new mobile application "Work in EAEU".
The Digital Initiatives Foundation of the Eurasian Development Bank will develop a special mobile service "Work in EAEU" for labor migrants by the beginning of 2022. This was stated by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishoustin during his speech on the Digital Almaty forum on Friday.
According to the premier, the new service will allow to obtain a wide range of state and commercial services even before entering the country of employment: to issue documents necessary for employment, to find and respond to a vacancy, rent housing, arrange insurance, get a loan for moving and arranged to get a job.
"Digitalization ensures the seamlessness of the process of obtaining state, commercial and financial services by labor migrants on the entire EAEEC space. This is a breakthrough in providing a single labor market and the further integration of our countries, "said Mishoustin.
The head of the Government of Russia noted that the new platform is developed taking into account the needs of users, as well as the need for convenience and simplicity of its use.
We will remind, earlier, the head of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin appealed to Mishoustina with a letter, in which he proposed to simplify the entry into Russia of foreign workers, limited due to the coronavirus pandemic, since the country has a shortage of labor. This problem was also indicated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who gave the appropriate instructions.
EAC also entered into force on the payment of pensions to labor migrants. According to the document, the pension will appoint and pay the state in which the retirement experience was acquired. To get the right to pay for old age, a foreign citizen needs to be applied to the pension bodies of the country of residence or to the relevant departments in the country of the EAES, where it works.
