Irkutsk, 4.02.21 (IA "Teleinform"), - a new cultural and educational space that has already been called "Craft Park", plan to open in the botanical garden of the Bio-Soil Faculty of IGU. His "heart" will be the mill brought from the Olkhon district.

According to the press service of the university, various workshops will be recreated in the craft park - it is planned to put a blacksmith, bakery, pottery, weaving, carpentry workshops. On their base, it is planned to organize profile training in the formation of primary vocational education, professional retraining of personnel, training programs for the older generation, master classes for children and adults, as well as thematic events, exhibitions, etc.

- The "heart" of the handicraft park will be the mill transported from the Olkhon district and transferred to the Irkutsk State University with the entrepreneur Sergey carrier. It will have to reconstruct, as it has been preserved only partially. From it we begin not by chance, because sometime on the Kaya River, quite not far from here, there was a real mill. She was not preserved, but for a long time the area where the Botanical Garden is located, Melnikovo was called, - said the head of the Botanic Garden of IGU Svetlana Sizy.

This year there will be an open exhibition pavilion with a height of about eight meters with a reconstructed mill wheel. He will become the first building of the project, and it is from him that excursions and walks around the craft park will begin.

The development of the project, according to Svetlana Sizy, will also give an impetus to the cultural development of the so-called large arboretum - the closed territory of the Botanical Garden, where collectible trees and shrubs planted in the 1970s grow. Specialists of the Botanical Garden are considering necessary to equip the landscape complex: reservoirs with improvement around them, an interactive museum dedicated to traditional land use in Siberia, cafes, etc.

The handicraft park is created within the framework of interuniversity cooperation - is a diploma project of a student of the Institute of Architecture, Construction and Design Irnit Valentina Vologhin (Head - Alexey Deutilov, Member of the Union of Architects of the Russian Federation, Associate Professor INIT).

- Creating a craft park in the Botanical Garden of the IGU can become a good example of the interaction of the university and the city - the development of an attractive educational and interactive museum space for citizens, the stimulation of cognitive and event tourism in Irkutsk, the preservation of the cultural heritage and the professional self-determination of young people, "Svetlana Sizyy emphasized.

As part of the project implementation at the end of April, Saturdays for clearing the platform for a pavilion with a mill in Botanical Garden are scheduled. The authors of the project invite those who want to take part in this preparatory event.
