On the eve of the World Day of People with Down Syndrome (March 21) in Nizhny Novgorod, a round table was held in the framework of the project "800 good deeds". The purpose of the event is to draw attention to the problems faced by people with Down syndrome and their family members, and also understand how they can help them.
In a round table, TV host and actress Evelina Bledans took part, Deputy Executive Director of the Non-Profit Organization "Foundation for the Development of Civil Society Institutes in the Volga Federal District", Ekaterina Nikitina, Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Artem Efremov, Minister of Social Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Yuri Habrov, Deputy Minister of Education, The science and youth policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Margarita Bannikova, Head of Childhood and Children's Department of the Ministry of Health of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Marina Semerikov, Director of the Time Dawn Charitable Foundation, Ekaterina Ferapontova, Chairman of Noo "Shine" Love Kalinin, as well as Moms and Guardians of special children. Ekaterina Chudakova, Head of the Department of Special Projects Anno Center 800, was the moderator of the event.
Participants discussed issues such as creating conditions for employment and receiving education with Down syndrome and autistic spectrum disorders (RAC), consulting for parents of "special" children, organization of sports activities and creative master classes for people with Down syndrome, creating profile syndrome Centers, where children and adults can temporarily take care.

My son Semyon is playing in the play "Buratino". In just a month, his speech improved so much that he himself sings "Harlequin". I am sure that this impetus will help him and in other areas of life. "The participants of the round table noted that the concept of integrated accompaniment of people with races and other mental disorders is already implemented in the region. In Nizhny Novgorod, there is a "radiance" charitable foundation, which oversees families with special children. Just the other day, they joined the fundraising platform "800 good deeds". Now there will be shares and fundraising for the needs of the Wards Fund with Down Syndrome.
Also in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the "Access Point" portal will soon be launched, where information about organizations will be placed in which you can seek help in various directions, consult with specialists and ask questions.
According to the results of the event, experts and guests of the round table have determined further steps in this direction, which will improve the quality of life of people with Down syndrome and other mental violations.
Recall, on March 17, in Nizhny Novgorod, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, Igor Komarov and the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, opened the resource center of social support for people with races (autistic spectrum disorders). The resource center was created on the basis of GBU "Social Development Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" in the framework of the implementation of the concept of integrated support of people with the disorders of the autistic spectrum and other mental violations in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
