Micro, the Swiss brand, the most famous thanks to the creation of the first folding aluminum scooter in the 1990s, is preparing to begin production of a compact urban electric car inspired by the ISETTA microcar. According to the company's representative, the average "in the car there are only 1.2 people are located and only 35 km per day are passing," which means that ordinary cars are too large for 95% of users. "
It is argued that MicroLino is a "perfect combination" of motorcycles and cars. Thus, the double MicroLino was designed to offer the necessary space, a range and performance in accordance with medium statistics. For this, it is enough space for "two adults and three boxes with beer", it weighs only 513 kg and is able to develop the maximum speed of 90 km / h.
Despite its miniature form, MicroLino allegedly offers a competitive stroke reserve in 125 or 200 km depending on which of the two available battery packs is specified. The exact values of the capacity are not yet communicated, but Micro claims that the car can be charged in just four hours from the household outlet.
Like Isetta, in the style of which it is completed, MicroLino has an anterior door, which means that it can be parked with a nose, and passengers can come directly on the pavement. However, the steering column, unlike iSetta, is attached to the floor, and not to the door.
The MicroLino cab is simple and minimalist, with the exception of the digital display, which displays the basic information. Instead of the built-in audio system on the dashboard there is a horizontal bar on which you can install phones and wireless speakers.
At prior prices in Europe from 12,000 euros, it can compete Citroi; N ami One. It will also probably be offered in urban carcherling schemes in the same spirit as the new Double Car Renault Mobilize EZ-1.
The first prototype was built in 2018, but the new MicroLino 2.0 is more like a final serial model. While his predecessor had a simple tubular frame, 2.0 was built on the basis of a stamped steel and aluminum monocoise to increase the rigidity without a significant increase in weight, and the back part became about 50% wider to increase stability.
Additional prototypes will appear in March, and the oligation process will begin in June. Micro expects that he will receive the approval of the EU type in August before starting mass production in September.
