With competent care, tomatoes usually form lush bushes. A special approach requires intederminant varieties that can form a rich foliage in high stems.
But you should not think that all the abundance of foliage on tomato bushes is left. It is necessary when forming plants to remove the extra greens, especially from the lower parts of the stems. But with a strong latching stems, tomatoes are growing faster, and the fruit ripening ahead of time lose part of their taste.
There are other ways to reduce excessive thickness of tomato bushes. For this purpose, the tops of the shoots are plugged or cut off the brushes in the formation of them in the unnecessary quantity.

- When a fifth brush reaches, you can remove extra leaves, but at least 12 of the most healthy and large instances should remain on the stem.
- In early August, there are 2-3 leaflets over the top brush, and the top pinch.
Timely formation is more often required to tall tomato. Clean the steats located on the central stem. They can be worn out.
The formation of mediteralous tomatoes is practiced in 2 stems. To this end, on the central escape, it is highlighted at an altitude of 40-50 cm from the ground the most powerful stepper. It is left for further development, and the remaining processes are removed as they are educated.
