"He lived in the light of Anton Gorodetsky" ... more precisely, Pasha (Ivan Yankovsky). He worked as a courier, slept badly. One day I went to take another order and involuntarily witnessed the fight of good with evil. More precisely, vampires with the Special Department "H" (from the word "evil"). The head of this classified division by the name Hamayun (Leonid Yarmolnik) told Pasha that the capital of our Motherland is still sisit of creatures from Russian folk fairy tales - from Vasilisk to Lessel, and that the task of his team based in the Moscow metro, to control them. And also that Pasha is different. More precisely, "Rubeble", that is, it has a special little on the glory (this is what the vampires are called here, this is not American cinema!). They, by the way, were completely broken, raised from the coffin of their millennial ruler (Mikhail Evlanov) and now they are looking for a bride. She should become a singer Dana (Lyubov Aksenova), another ancient vampire (gapes?), Which Pasha saw in a dream and in which they fell in love with first glance. And which he can only find vampires from all people - thanks to the sixth sense. In general, welcome to "Night Guards", boy. Caution, the doors are closed, to get out of the dusk.

Speaking about the film Emilis Velivis, I want to call things with your own names: all these bubbers, ghouls, the "N" department, scattered to pain a familiar plot, cut a rumor. Almost as strong as a distinct Baltic accent, with whom the vampires say. Attempting like this in the forehead to divide the "good" and "bad" on Russian and non-Russian and link everything that happened to the folklore looks inconclusive - rather, the costs of the renorming or the influence of the Lithuanian director. Mythology "Night Guardians" is formally very close to the mythology of "Dosters", but the picture does not reach the depth - the black and white world, without a single shadow. It does not discard her even the allegedly complex romantic line with the participation of the hero and anti-game, who loved each other in 3 seconds of the screen time - and forever.
New Russian fantasy in fact is not so new, although the authors diligently try to surprise the viewer. For example, adding an old good humor: here the Leshe-Word wanders, the Bird-Hamayun dresses a melody from "I walk in Moscow", remember "people in black", but the irony, and even more so self-irony, is still not enough. But there is a brutal bald yolk, who walks in black leather raincoat (the action is happening in summer) and knows how to pull out his own eyes, complex scenery, like a mirror room and a metro car, plastic makeup Evlanova (here a pale acute blond with a burning soundtrack) and hip-hop soundtrack . And relatively open finals with the back of the second part.
It looks all of this on the one hand expensive - the Agents of the "H" department are armed to the teeth and are beautifully fighting with the Pestro painted villains in slow motion. On the other hand, it is recently, even for such a non-domestic cinema of genre as fantasy. Like a rich view of Moscow-City (yes, here it is also present), flashes the background in every second Russian film. It is pleased with one thing: in which our cinema copies itself, and not overseas.
