Spilled by the April Sun, a crowded Jerusalem Square. Here it is the sacred Watch Wall. Folded from massive stone boulders of yellowish shades, it is a symbol of faith and hope of the Jewish people. Tourists from all over the world come to watch and pray in this peculiar synagogue in the open sky.
Our tourist group in Jerusalem was accompanied by a guide, a very interesting woman, a former citizen of the Soviet Union - Dina. From her story, I learned about how the Wing Wall appeared and what a long way she did: starting with the era of King Solomon and to the present day.
According to one of the legends, the Western Wall of the Temple of the Lord was built by the poor, giving part of their income. Subsequently, the temple burned down, the walls collapsed and only one - Western - the wall continued to stand as a courageous soldier. One century was replaced by another, but in the end this wall became the famous cry of crying.
Dina explained to us that to one part of the Watch Walls are suitable with their prayers and requests of a man, and to another woman. You do not need to be baptized here, as this is the Jewish shrine. It is interesting that especially religious Jews leave the wall of crying the stirmeal back, as if they say goodbye to the expensive heart by man.
Before getting to this majestic building, our tourist group visited many famous places where biblical stories unfolded. But it was here that the Wall is crying, an interesting feeling was visited. As if some invisible benevolent light came from the Jewish shrine, happily greeting me. Perhaps it was connected with my desire to visit Israel and see all the interesting sights with your own eyes. Approximately the year passed from the moment I sent my note with the desires for the "Land of the promised" with the girlfriend. And now, a year later, I herself stands in front of the Great Wall of crying.
It is not so easy to approach and touch the rough stone surface of the wall. It seems that the flow of people does not end. I am patiently waiting for my turn, and here my hand is already sliding on the stone surface of the wall of crying. In the holes and clefts here and there are white pieces of paper. To the left of me on a chair sits a girl with an open book. She is calm and immersed or in prayer, or in reading Talmud. Putting your note into the wall, I leave this place in Jewish.
A religious tradition of investing notes with desires arose not so long ago, just a couple of hundred years ago. In those days, pilgrims overcame a long way to worship the holy places.
