The Deputy Head of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, announced the need to accelerate integration with Belarus. He reported this in an interview with the Russian media. Medvedev also estimated the internal political situation in Belarus.
The integration of Russia and Belarus is interconnected, the Deputy Head of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said Russian journalists. According to him, the main reason for the rapprochement of the two countries is the fraternal attitudes of the peoples.
"We need to integrate closer and implement the entire potential of an allied contract, including those elements of rapprochement, the compounds of the potential of our economies that are laid there. And these are a variety of questions, up to one currency, "Medvedev emphasized. In his opinion, there is no other alternative.
At the same time, the deputy head of the Security Council noted the complex domestic political situation in Belarus. He believes that for a successful integration process, within the framework of the Allied State, first "it is necessary that they normally normalize the situation in general."
Medvedev recalled that earlier the Belarusian side strengthened Russia in pressure and hurry in the matter of convergence of the two countries. "But no, we do not give us, it just seems to us that this is in our interests," the former prime minister stated, stressing that the integration process should continue from pragmatic considerations.
"The Belarusian economy is fully sharpened to the Russian economy. So they supplied a significant part of the goods here. They are not waiting for them elsewhere. That is why close integration between the economies, the adoption of the most important decisions in the field of regulation in the interests of the two countries, "he concluded.
Recall, on January 28, the Russian Ambassador to Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev announced new stages of partnerships between Moscow and Minsk. According to him, in a short time, both countries will expand cooperation in the field of transportation. He also recalled the recent negotiations of the heads of the governments of Russia and Belarus - Mikhail Mishoustina and Roman Golovchenko. Mezentsev said that they discussed the formation of income within a single industrial policy and agropolitics, as well as rapprochement of approaches to the formation of the tax regime.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Belarus positively assessed cooperation with Russia in 2020, noting the fruitful and constructive development of relations, as well as the advance decision of the fuel and energy issues. He stressed that Russia and Belarus need to unite industrial, scientific and intellectual potentials.
