Surprisingly, such a purely female wardrobe object as stockings was originally invented for men and was male clothes. What are women? They were driving in houses, Svetlitsy and Harema and people practically did not come out. And at home and with bare ass can be sitting. But the men were always in sight - worked, fought, went hiking, on all sorts of folk assembly and other ancient parties. Accordingly, they should have been dressed comfortably and presentable.

The ancestors of modern socks-stock-tights lit up 600 years old BC, although on some information hand-knit sackers also wore one ancient Egyptian mummy at 1500 years ago to our era.

The ancient Greeks, and then the same ancient Romans first turned the legs with all sorts of rags of the type of ports, but then began to wear on the feet of Sykhos, something like socks made of soft leather. The militant Germans and Britons have improved them. In order not to rub your legs during long transitions, they lengthened the design, turning socks into socks and stockings.

In the Middle Ages, Europeans have somehow subsided for stockings - wrapped the legs of the skin and tissue. But stockings appeared from turkey nomads, which so called long soft boots. From the Turks, this subject moved to the Arabs, and from them to the Spaniards. Moreover, the most stockings liked Catholic priests, the laity was still a hundred years later, the innovation. Then there was a real bug boom. The son of Wilhelm the Conqueror, the rhofus wore such expensive and elegant tightly staggering pants (prototype of modern pantyhose) that the court poets-lizoblyudd were francated about them songs and poems.

Gradually, and some brave women began to encroach on the subject of a male wardrobe. The English Queen of Elizabeth I was distinguished by a special attachment to the silk stocks and constantly wore them. It is not surprising that it was during the years of its board that a certain unemployed William Lii designed a special machine for mating stocking - to alleviate the work of his wife, which contained the seven manual viscous. The machine not only got rid of his spouse from the grumble, but also enriched. Stockings made on the machine saved the feet of customers from the "accordion" on the ankles and bubbles on the knees and accounted for a decent competition of expensive stockings from silk and velvet.

But fashion for women's stockings was introduced slowly. The world is not accustomed that fashion lawmakers are not French, but the British islanders. Therefore, the century of female stockings did not take root, and the demonstration of slender female female was considered the riding inappropriate. So the British decided to prevent dear and beautiful female stockings as a gift to the Spanish Queen. But the Spanish ambassador with indignation pushed the present, exclaiming: "Stupid Sares! Know that the Queen of Spain has no legs at all! " One of the enlighteners of the XVII century wrote: "The feet of women are so carefully hidden, what to think appropriate: and whether they are at all." Something like: "There is no sex in the USSR!".

But in the XVIII century stockings with a light hand, or rather legs, Marquise de Pompadour, the favorite of the French king Louis XIV, began to enter the female wardrobe. Its lace stockings in price approached the annual income of the average nobleman. But finally stockings appeared in women's wardrobes only in the XIX century. Ladies and ladies preferred to wear black, white, brown, as well as stockings in a transverse strip. Everything changed World War II. In the absence of men who fought on the fronts, women got up to the machines. To make it easier for hard work and for convenience, they rooted the skirts and showed their legs. Stockings have become popular. As a result of increased demand from silk stockings, a decent competitor appeared - stockings of viscose. Because of the lowest price, they quickly won popularity - now stockings could wear women out of the poor.

And on October 24, 1939 in the world of women's fashion, a revolution occurred, in front of which many wars and social shocks are blocked. DuPont has thrown out the first nylon stockings on sale. Sales preceded a loud advertising company under the slogan "To wear silk stockings, and not from a nylon - it's like preferring a horse's horse." Manufacturers assured that stockings "have the strength of steel and subtlety of the web." Already on the first day 4 million pairs were purchased! Neither before, nor after that volume of sales in history was not! Nylon stockings - cheap, durable and transparent - quickly crowded cotton and silk. During the second war, Nylon was declared strategic material, and DuPont switched to the production of parachutes, aircraft cables and ropes.

But overhanging Americans went to various tricks - painted the arrow on the leg, and for better imitation was covered with sprays. In 1944, the production of nylon stockings resumed, and American soldiers brought them to Europe to the joy of local women. Germans, Frenchwomen, Italian and others were given to the village soldier for a couple of love stockings.

In 1959, another "Breaking" revolution takes place - they are started to produce from Lycra. A year later, the stocking appeared a formidable competitor - tights, which quickly overtook them in popularity and, accordingly, on sales. Moreover, the mini skirts entered the fashion, to which the tights approached much better than stockings.

As for the USSR, the nylon stockings and, moreover, tights there were still a deficit. That product, which was produced in the union itself, it is difficult to call elegant. Therefore, fashionists and tights from GDR and Czechoslovakia are appreciated.

By the way, the very name of the "tights" came from Czechoslovakia. In the Soviet assortment, they were named simply and chamber - "stocking rates". And on Czech packages were treated as "Punchov Kalgota", translated - "Little pants. Well, what Russian-speaking woman can pronounce the word "Punchowa"? Therefore, the name of the tights or, more affectionate, tights. It was difficult to get imported tights in the Union, so they were all overwhelmed. They have eaten to holes, put in the refrigerator (the recipe from the magazine "WORKER"), cried when they rushed, darned, sometimes even their own hair. And even when they broke out before inappropriate, they still did not throw away - they were carried under trousers.

Now the fashion on stockings is back again. Of course, in terms of convenience, they are inferior to the pantyles. But in terms of attractiveness and sexuality ...

Slender female legs covered with openwork nylon or lycra are a terrible force in female hands, or rather legs. They conquered much more men than any weapon. They, of course, are not bombs and bullets, but they break much more accurate and better.
