About the delivery of the first combat vehicles on the basis of "Armatians" with reference to the Minister of Defense of Sergey Shoigu told TASS. "In 2022, it is planned to supply T-14 tanks in the troops of the T-15 tanks, the T-15 infantry combat vehicles and armored repair and evacuation machines T-16," said the head of department.
According to him, state tests of prototype of technique based on "Armati" are now being continued.
Recall, according to the data presented during the exhibition Idex-2021, the General Design of the Ural Design Bureau of Transport Mechanical Engineering Andrei Terelikov, deliveries to the troops of Serially produced T-14 tanks will begin in 2022. State tests of the car, according to him, plan to complete for about two years.
The main combat tank (ONT) T-14 on the basis of "Armatians" is considered the first fourth-generation tank in the world (division for generations here is conditional). The third includes such combat machines as American M1 Abrams and German Leopard 2A5. The second is represented, in particular, by the Soviet T-64.
The fourth generation, among other things, distinguishes the robotization of processes, improved protection and weapons, as well as changes in classical layout. In the case of T-14 tank, a uninhabited tower was used: all three crew members are located in front of the common part. Increase protection must, among other things, contribute to a complex of active protection (KAZ) "Afghanit", which can detect an ammunition threatening tank and destroy them with special striking elements. Infantry fighting machine on the basis of "Armatians" - BMP T-15 - also equipped Kaz "Afghanit".
Armament T-14 in general is comparable to the armament of the tanks of the previous generation. Its "main caliber" is a 125-millimeter gun 2A82. At the same time, in the future, it is possible to install a more powerful tool of a 152 millimeter caliber, which will make almost ineffective armor of any foreign tank.
As for robotization, T-14 has recently been able to find and recognize the target without the participation of the crew members. According to a varying source, the fire management system has a digital directory with sample target signatures, which includes "images" of various combat machines.
As a response of the West to the Armatian tracked platform (primarily T-14), you can consider the promising European MGCS (Main Ground Combat System). It is created by France and Germany.
