The manufacturer of vacuum cleaners DYSON was an ambitious plan to build a fully electric SUV, which, most likely, will never appear.
As it became known, the DYSON car will never appear in production, although last year Dyson made a great contribution to the project. The manufacturer, as it turned out, will be extremely unprofitable to build an electric SUV. Nevertheless, it is interesting to see how the DYSON electric SUV has been developed.
Basically, Dyson is familiar to us on vacuum cleaners without a bag, the names of which find the response from motorists. Unfortunately, V8 and V10 vacuum cleaners seem to have no car brothers and sisters. Last year, the English edition published an image of a prototype car with the code name Dyson N526, over which Dyson Automotive worked until 2019. On patent photos published by Autoweek, an unprecedented electric SUV can be seen from all sides.
The SUV has a relatively minimalistic design with recessed handles and cameras that work like side mirrors. The rear is distinguished by an amazing smooth surface and small LED rear lamps consisting of square segments. The nose is also devoid of frills. Top dyson about five meters long should accommodate up to seven people.
According to earlier information, N526 will be able to squeeze at least 965 kilometers of run from its battery block. Such a huge stock of the stroke is possible, because the SUV will receive solid batteries. Dyson weighing about 2600 kg will receive two electric motors with a capacity of 272 hp, which will accelerate it up to 100 km / h in less than 5 seconds. Estimated maximum speed: about 200 km / h.
In 2019, Dyson indicated that she was still looking for a buyer for Dyson Automotive, but did not find it. The fact that these fresh patent images are registered in 2021, indicates that Dyson for a while leaves the design of his car to better times. In any case, Dyson Automotive plans were already very specific. The company bought, among other things, the test site in the United Kingdom and has invested significant funds in the creation of a production site in Singapore.
