"University of Monsters" - a visual demonstration of why Pixar Studios should not go into one river twice. After a damn a dozen years, the creators of the Monsters Corporations turned out a product, charming and funny, but completely helpless, especially without marketing support for the first tape. Binding to it, however, nominal: without Petya Dr. and Andrew Stanton Scripts managed to allow several errors in reproducing the already created world. Moreover, another full-length cartoon would easily fit between the University and Corporation, in which it was possible to tell Mike and Salley from the educational institution to famous heights in detail. However, almost the most interesting part of the story is served in the style of a slideshow with funny pictures of the main characters.
Dean Scanlon's brainchild, the creator of the "Touch", is trying to compensate for scenic problems with technical quality. The colorful texture of the University of Monsters is emphasized by quite good. Shaggy, smooth, squalle and scaly creatures are folded into a beautiful puzzle, which is more pleasant to "suck" than to listen. If the "Monsters Corporation" was charged with an armor-piercing mission - laughter is stronger than fear, then there is only a banal "if long to suffer, something happens." Hollowing on the territory of the university tapes, where all the characters behave as those inclined to suicide the Heroes of Horror Film, "University of Monsrov" inherited this disregard for the logic and the joy of a merry fade, after which the heavy hangover comes. However, the unbearable ease of the final, where it is hardly a feat turns heroes in losers, and the desired work and painstaking work gives them the desired, hints that justice is no longer in American cartoons.
The joy of a meeting with familiar characters is discerning five minutes after watching the new Creation Pixar.
