During the meeting of the board member (minister) for industry and the agro-industrial complex with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, a member of the Council of ECE Igor Petrishenko.

According to the press service of the ECE, the parties discussed current issues of industrial cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union countries, including priority areas - the development of cooperation and the implementation of new integration projects in the EAEU.

Artak Camalyan and Igor Petryshenko noted the importance of expanding the cooperation of the Union countries in high-tech and innovative industries, including the production of new generation transport - electric vehicles. According to Artak Kamalyan, the ECE collegium adopted documents aimed at supporting manufacturers of electric transport. In turn, Igor Petryshenko proposed to use the developments of Belarusian scientists and industrialists, stressing that the government of the republic pays special attention to the development of innovative transport with electric motors. It is planned that by 2025 the share of public electric transport in Belarus will increase to 30 percent.

Meeting participants noted that for the development of large cooperation projects with a strong integration effect, it is important to develop optimal conditions for their financing. The Eurasian Development Bank is played in solving this issue.

"To date, the main obstacle to the practical implementation of cooperative projects with the participation of EDB is the lack of a preferential loan rate and a high threshold for financing," said Minister ECE. - In the near future, the Commission will offer options for creating more acceptable conditions for attracting financial resources for integration projects. "

"We actively support all aspects that concern industrial cooperation. The joint product we produce is important to supply third countries to the markets. In order to support the industrial direction, it is necessary to use financial instruments, including the possibilities of the Eurasian Development Bank, "said Igor Petryshenko.

Artak Camalyan and Igor Petryshenko recognized the importance of working together to prevent discrimination in the production of industrial products. The draft decision-to-decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council was aimed at the development of mutual trade, conscientious competition between Member States and the protection of the interests of manufacturers of industrial products of all parties.

The parties noted that the principle of non-discrimination should be implemented, first of all, in terms of sensitive goods, according to which there is a significant competition between manufacturers in the Union.

Discussing the questions significant for allied manufacturers, Artak Camalyan and Igor Petryshenko touched upon the topic of procurement of raw materials for Belarusian metallurgists. The Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus announced the need to adopt a joint plan for the development of the common market of scrap and waste of ferrous metals within the framework of the Union developed by the Commission.

Igor Petryshenko noted the work of the Commission on the preparation of the main areas of industrial cooperation for the next five years and expressed confidence that the approval of the document by the heads of the governments of the Union of the Union will speed up the implementation of the initiatives laid into it.

They affected the parties and issues on the formation of general approaches to the development of academic mobility and cooperation of universities of the "five" countries in the University.

"The project will provide the opportunity to students from EAEEC countries to study in high school universities with the strongest specialization, and will also contribute to the popularization of the Union itself. In addition, this will not only effectively solve professional issues, but also to strengthen intercultural communications. The Minister of ECE also met with the Chairman of the Belarusian State Concern of the Food Industry "Belgospishcheprom" Anatoly Tubn. The parties discussed the situation in the EAEU Food Market.

In particular, questions were affected by the Sahara market. Anatoly Tuben proposed to consider the feasibility of developing a strategy for the development of the sugar service of the EAEU countries, focused on the effective use of the resource potential of Member States.

Artak Kamalyan drew attention to the problems that impede the increase in the competitiveness of the breeding industry, including the high level of import dependence on the supply of sugar beet seeds, as well as agricultural machinery and equipment.

Following the meeting, the parties stressed the need to enhance cooperation in order to implement the agreed agro-industrial policy of the Union.
