"Today, the Governments of the United States of America, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan declare the creation of the Central Asian investment partnership. Participants welcome the accession of other countries to this initiative in order to promote regional economic partnerships and prosperity. Within this initiative, the American International Financial Development Corporation (DFC), the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan will make all possible efforts to invest at least T1 billion within five years in support of projects that promote the growth of the private sector and expanding economic ties in Central Asia and wider Region, "said in a message on Thursday.

As clarified, the Central Asian Investment Partnership will promote projects carried out under the leadership of the private sector, which are an example of international infrastructure quality standards and contribute to inclusive, transparent and sustainable investments. At the same time, partners will maximally contribute to the success and positive impact of projects and mobilize additional private investment in the region.

"The Central Asian Investment Partnership is an important step in promoting US efforts to support economic growth and prosperity of Central Asia. Working through the C5 + 1 platform, this initiative will strive to use opportunities to increase trade, development and interaction to make every country in Central Asia stronger and prosperous. As the region seeks to recover from the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, such cooperation and stability becomes even more important than ever.

The Central Asian Investment Partnership is based on respect for the development and prosperity of each of the Central Asian countries, "the press service writes.

It is noted that in addition to supporting regional projects, DFC will continue to deepen its bilateral partnership in Central Asia by signing bilateral memorandums about mutual understanding with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and study the possibilities of supporting investment funds and other bilateral projects.
